Anneke Scott is a leading exponent of historical horn playing, currently serving as a Lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). She specializes in introducing students to the natural horn and historical performance practices, connecting them to the techniques and repertoire of the late seventeenth century through the present day. Her work extends globally through performances, recordings, and collaborations with period instrument ensembles.

Anneke’s research focuses on historical brass instruments, particularly the natural horn. Her discography includes groundbreaking recordings of Jacques-François Gallay’s works (2010-2012) and operatic fantasias with Lucy Crowe and Steven Devine (2015). She also explores nineteenth-century harmoniemusik and ensemble practices.
Scientific awards include the Gerard Finzi Travel Scholarship (2010) and the International Horn Society Punto Award (2019). She teaches at multiple institutions, including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
Anneke is principal horn in renowned ensembles such as the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, The English Baroque Soloists, and the Dunedin Consort. She frequently collaborates with period keyboardists, harpists, and chamber musicians, contributing to projects across Europe, Australia, and beyond.
