Anne Thillosen

Dr. Anne Thillosen is a senior research scientist and head of the e-teaching Transfer lab at the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM) in Tübingen, Germany. She has led the e-teaching.org portal since 2008 and assumed leadership of the newly established e-teaching Transfer lab in 2023. Her work bridges academic research and practical application in digital education, focusing on knowledge transfer, digital media in higher education, and innovative teaching formats.

Her research interests include digital education, e-learning, open educational resources (OER), MOOCs, hybrid and online teaching, self-directed learning, teacher education, and the integration of digital media in higher education. She has contributed extensively to national discourse through publications, workshops, and policy-oriented initiatives.

The recent publications highlight a strong focus on digital transformation in higher education, particularly in the post-pandemic era. Themes include hybrid learning environments, faculty motivation, digital competence, emergency online teaching, and the design of effective digital learning scenarios. Her work consistently emphasizes practical applicability, collaboration, and the transfer of research into educational practice.
