Anne Stires, MEd, is an Adjunct Professor at Antioch University's Antioch New England Graduate School. She is the Founder and Education Director of the Juniper Hill School for Place-Based Education in Alna, Maine, and teaches Risk Management in Nature-Based Early Childhood Programs and Natural History courses for Antioch University. Her work spans environmental stewardship, curriculum development, and nature-based education.

Her research focuses on nature-based and place-based pedagogies, emphasizing outdoor learning, childhood friendships, and vernal pools.
