Dr. Anne Schnader is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting & Business Law at Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School. She serves as Director of the Undergraduate Accounting Practicum program and has held leadership roles such as past-chair of the Sawyer Business School Teaching Committee. Her research focuses on auditors' roles in protecting investors, particularly in the Broker-Dealer industry, with publications in journals like Contemporary Accounting Research and Accounting & the Public Interest.
Dr. Schnader holds a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA from New York University, and a DBA from Boston University. She teaches in the Master of Science in Accounting program, emphasizing emerging areas like Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and Big Data analysis. Her professional certifications include CPA and DBA credentials.
Her honors include the PwC INQuiries Award (2011, 2008) and the Andrews Best Paper Award (2008). She serves on editorial boards for journals like Accounting & the Public Interest and has held leadership roles in the American Accounting Association (AAA), including President of the Public Interest Section and Vice-Chair of Research. Beyond academia, she manages a family office and served on the Investment Committee of Green D Ventures.
