Dr. Anne Rogerson is a Senior Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the Vere Gordon Childe Centre. She holds a BA and BSc from the University of Sydney and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Her research centers on Virgil’s Aeneid, its cultural reflections, and its reception in art and literature across eras, including analyses of late antique to modern commentaries. Current projects include a book exploring how female novelists like George Eliot and Margaret Atwood engage with Latin learning, and an Australian Research Council-funded study on Vandal North African Latin literature.
