Anne Reff Pedersen is a Professor at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School (CBS), with a focus on public organization, innovation, and healthcare management. She serves as Director of People and Organizing (PnO) and is a research member of the Center of Health Care Management (CHM) and SOC/OBHC. Her work bridges organizational ethnography, narrative studies, and healthcare innovation, particularly examining how professionals, routines, and coordination mechanisms shape public value creation. She currently leads a project on implementing healthcare innovations at Rigshospitalet.
Research Interests: Pedersen specializes in public sector innovation, organizational ethnography, and narrative studies with applications in healthcare. Her methodology emphasizes qualitative research and antenarrative frameworks to analyze fragmented organizational processes.
Teaching: She teaches core courses in the Master of Public Governance (MPG) program, including leadership of healthcare innovation and public sector change. She also supervises master’s theses and PhD students in everyday healthcare innovation and patient involvement.
Publications: Her recent work includes peer-reviewed articles on topics like time-space dynamics in hospitals, collaborative innovation strategies, and narrative approaches to organizational change. She has co-authored key texts such as Denmark’s Master of Public Governance Program and The Oxford Handbook of Healthcare Management.
