Anne ROUE-LE GALL

Prof. Anne ROUE-LE GALL is a Professor at the French School of Public Health (EHESP) and Head of the institution's diploma in Public Health and Regional Planning. She leads the Department of Environmental Health Sciences (DEESSE) and is affiliated with ARENES UMR 6051. Her research focuses on integrating health into urban planning and policy, with expertise in Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA). She holds a PhD in Quantitative Hydrology and Hydrogeology from MINES ParisTech and has conducted post-doctoral research in Canada on environmental systems analysis.

Education: PhD in Quantitative Hydrology (2001, MINES ParisTech), Master's in Environmental Sciences (1996, University of Liège), and earlier degrees from the University of Western Brittany (Brest).

Research interests include climate change adaptation, health equity in urban development, and the role of green spaces in public health. Key projects include leading the CUSSH (Complex Urban System for Sustainability and Health) project in Rennes, the Aladins initiative addressing health inequalities in Brittany, and the GreenCan study on cancer risks from environmental exposures. She co-supervised theses on climate vulnerability and urban gardening health impacts.

She is a leading expert in HIA and serves on international networks like the IUHPE Global Working Group on HIA and the European Public Health Association. Her educational contributions include developing online courses on healthy urban planning and environmental problem-solving via mercury case studies.
