Prof. Anne O'Connor is a Senior Lecturer in Italian at the University of Galway, where she has been teaching since 2003. She currently serves as Director of the Anderson Centre. Her research focuses on 19th-century history and literature, translation studies, travel literature, transnational Ireland, cultural mediators, language pedagogy, and community-based learning. She holds prestigious awards from institutions such as the IRC, IRCHSS, Royal Irish Academy, NAIRTL, AHRC, and the European Union.
