Anne Newton McFadden serves as Associate Dean for Student Services and Dean of Students at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she also holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Law. She joined the law school in 2018, was promoted to Assistant Dean for Student Services in 2021, and advanced to Associate Dean in 2024, overseeing both the Office of Career Services and Leonard D. Fromm Office for Student Affairs.
Her educational credentials include dual BA degrees Summa cum Laude in Spanish and Political Science from Indiana State University (1999) and a JD Magna cum Laude from Georgetown University Law Center (2003), where she was Order of the Coif.
Professor McFadden's research concentrates on antitrust enforcement mechanisms, with particular expertise in international merger remedies, confidentiality protocols in antitrust investigations, and administrative procedures within the U.S. Department of Justice. Her work bridges theoretical legal frameworks with practical enforcement challenges in cross-border competition cases.
Her publications reveal a consistent focus on evolving antitrust cooperation between U.S. and European authorities, highlighting trends in merger control harmonization and procedural transparency.
