Anne Mette Kjær is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, Aarhus University, with 25+ years of expertise in East African governance, politics, and political economy. Her research focuses on Uganda, particularly revenue bargaining, political settlements, and development policy. She leads the upcoming 2025-2030 Local Food System Governance program funded by Denmark's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-ordinates projects with Makerere University and REPOA.
