Anne-Marie Elbe

Prof. Dr. Anne-Marie Elbe is a Full Professor of Sport Psychology at Leipzig University since 2018 and served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sport Science (2019–2023). Previously, she held roles as Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen and Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University. Her research focuses on motivational aspects of athletic performance, talent development, doping prevention, and the role of sport in multicultural societies.

Awards:

• Goldene Ehrennadel (Golden Badge) from the Association of Sport Psychology (2019)

Leadership Roles:

• Past President of FEPSAC (2015–2019)
• Member of European College of Sport Science's Scientific Board

Teaching: Leads the English-taught Master’s program in Sport and Exercise Psychology, supervising PhDs and postdocs.
