Anne Maas, PhD, is a Postdoc researcher at the University of Lucerne's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, working under Prof. Gisela Michel. She holds a master’s degree in social sciences (cum laude) and a PhD from the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology (2020–2024). Her research focuses on the psychosocial functioning of adult survivors of childhood cancer, identifying risk and protective factors such as physical health conditions and benefit finding. She has led the implementation of web-based tools using Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) to monitor health-related quality of life in survivorship care. Currently, she is involved in the European e-QuoL project, developing e-health platforms to support childhood cancer survivors and their families across Europe.
Education: Master’s in Social Sciences (specializing in youth and mental health), PhD in Psychosocial Oncology. Professional Experience: Internship in psycho-oncology research at the Helen Dowling Institute (Netherlands).
Research interests include mental health interventions, digital health technologies, and long-term outcomes for cancer survivors. Projects emphasize translating research into accessible psychosocial resources via e-health solutions.
