Anne Leversha is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, holding dual affiliations in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is a practicing clinical pharmacist with expertise in medical and pharmacy education, rural health, and medication safety. She developed pharmacology curricula for medical students and teaches therapeutics in pharmacy programs.
Her professional roles include former Director of Pharmacy and 18-year tenure as Rural Advisor for the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA). She contributed to national committees like the Victorian Medicines Advisory Committee and led the development of clinical educator preparation programs. She authored SHPA's Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services.
Notable activities include membership in the Australian and New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators, FIP, and Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association. She has reviewed for the National Prescribing Curriculum and participated in interprofessional education planning.
Her research spans medication safety workshops, rural pharmacy practice, and student placement readiness. Awards include the 2008 Fellowship by Professional Achievement. She actively engages in rural health initiatives and interprofessional education development.
