Anne Ladegaard Skov is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where she also leads The Danish Polymer Centre. Her work focuses on polymer science, with an emphasis on silicone elastomers, dielectric materials, and sustainable polymer systems. Skov holds a Dr. Techn (2017), Ph.D. (2004), and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (2001), all from DTU.
Her research addresses topics like recyclable silicone materials, energy storage systems, and biomedical applications. She has supervised numerous PhD students and contributed to over 350 publications. Key projects include developing self-healing capacitor materials, eco-friendly oil well resins, and soft robotic actuators.
Skov’s expertise aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in advancing materials that reduce environmental impact. Her lab explores bio-based silicones, glycerol-silicone composites, and novel synthetic methodologies for polymer networks.
