Professor Anne-Kristine Schanke holds a Professor II position at the Institute of Psychology, University of Oslo, with clinical affiliation at Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital. She earned her Cand. psychol. (1980) and PhD (2003) from the University of Oslo, specializing in neuropsychology and clinical rehabilitation. Her research focuses on neuropsychology, rehabilitation psychology, and health psychology, particularly in traumatic brain injury, post-polio syndrome, and fatigue management. She has led numerous national studies, including projects on symptom validity assessment and quality of life in rare diseases. Schanke has been honored with the Handicap Prize (2000), Honorary membership in the Norwegian Neuropsychological Association (2017), and the King’s Medal of Merit (2019). She has served on regional research and ethics committees and collaborates across institutions via initiatives like the CHARMS rehabilitation center. Her teaching includes clinical practice at Sunnaas Hospital through the PSYC6300 course.
