Anne-Katrin Weber is an Assistant Professor of Television Studies at the Department of Film History and Aesthetics, University of Lausanne. Previously, she served as a first assistant in the same department from 2015 to 2021. Her research focuses on the history of television and media, with a particular emphasis on interwar exhibitions, military/security uses of TV, and an 'expanded' historiography of the medium. She holds a doctorate from UNIL and has conducted research in Paris, Berlin, New York, Boston, and Luxembourg through SNSF grants.
Key achievements include her monograph *Television before TV* (2022), awarded by the Faculty of Arts and SCMS, and an SNSF PRIMA grant (2022). She was a NOMIS Fellow at eikones (2021) and collaborates with RTS on campus. Her work bridges media archaeology, cultural history, and interdisciplinary projects like digital public history initiatives.
