Anne Galbraith is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She specializes in genetics, antimicrobial mechanisms, and molecular biology, using baker's yeast as a model organism. Her research focuses on understanding how antimicrobial compounds affect cellular processes.

Research Interests: Her lab investigates antimicrobial mechanisms through genetics, microscopy, and molecular biology. Collaborations include multiple institutions. Current projects explore the effects of plant-derived antimicrobial compounds on yeast cells.

Teaching & Service: Teaches courses like Genetics, Human Molecular Genetics, and First Year Seminar (STEM Strong). Designed BIO-PALOOZA to welcome new biology majors. Serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Grandview-Emerson Neighborhood Association and is an American Society for Microbiology member.
Labs & Teams: Collaborates with UWL and external labs on antimicrobial research. Mentor for undergraduate and graduate students in Biology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry.
