Anne Dejean is a Professor at INSERM and Director of the Laboratory of Nuclear Organization and Oncogenesis at the Pasteur Institute, leading INSERM Research Unit 993 'Molecular and Cellular Biology of Tumors'. Her work focuses on molecular and cellular mechanisms of cancer, particularly post-translational modifications and hepatocarcinoma.
- Established hepatitis B virus's mutagenic role in liver cancer
- Identified retinoic acid receptor (RAR) and its implications in cancer
- Elucidated molecular basis of acute promyelocytic leukaemias
Her research enables targeted cancer therapies and has been recognized internationally through awards and EMBO membership.
Scientific Awards
- EMBO member (1995)
- Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Légion d'Honneur (2007)
- L'Oréal-UNESCO Award For Women in Science (2010)
- Inserm Grand Prix (2014)
- Sjöberg Prize (2018)
She leads the Institut Pasteur/INSERM Joint Unit 993, advancing cancer research through molecular mechanisms studies.
