Anne Besnault

Anne Besnault is a Lecturer in the UFR Letters and Human Sciences at the University of Rouen Normandy, affiliated with the ERIAC laboratory (UR 4705). Her research focuses on English Modernism, Gender Studies, and Feminist Criticism, with special attention to the works of Virginia Woolf, Katherine Mansfield, and Elizabeth Bowen.

Her recent work spans Virginia Woolf's historiography, modernist counter-histories, and cross-century Gothic traditions. She contributes to multidisciplinary seminars on topics like “Philosophy in the City” and “Gender & Screens”, and collaborates with institutions including the Alain GIS Institute of the Americas and Galatasaray University.
