- Ph.D. in Chemistry from Temple University
- Postdoc at Duke University (2019-2022)
Research investigates copper/iron dysregulation in dopamine biosynthesis enzymes using bacterial expression systems and biomimetic modeling.
Publications examine pathogen iron-acquisition mechanisms and nanoparticle impacts on microbial metal quotas.
Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Delta honor society memberships noted.
Advises 7+ Independent Study students on projects including:
- Reactive oxygen species effects on dopamine beta hydroxylase
- Titanium impacts on tyrosine hydroxylase
- Copper dyshomeostasis mechanisms
Directs research laboratory focusing on metalloenzyme biochemistry.
