Annamarie McCarthy

Annamarie McCarthy is a piano instructor at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), where she teaches in both the Pre-College and Continuing Education departments. Holding a BA from Lone Mountain College, she has dedicated her career to nurturing musicality and fostering technical and interpretive growth in students.

McCarthy frequently collaborates with her husband, John McCarthy, as a piano duo, and their performances have been featured at venues including CAMI Hall, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and UC campuses. She also advocates for Schubert's works, aiming to master all his sonatas in her unrealized project.

Her students and families highlight her adaptability, patience, and ability to tailor lessons to individual strengths, even as they pursue non-musical careers.
