Dr Annabelle Hodson is a Senior Lecturer in Chemistry at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), affiliated with the HAS - Applied Sciences school. She holds a PhD in organometallic and coordination chemistry from the University of Bath and previously worked in industry studying metal contamination of foods.
- Programme Leader for BSc Biological and Medicinal Chemistry, BSc Pharmaceutical Sciences, and BSc Environmental Chemistry.
Her research spans medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic science, environmental forensics, with a focus on organometallic and coordination chemistry. She has published extensively on molybdenum and tungsten complexes, solvent-controlled reaction mechanisms, and functionalized polymeric materials.
Her 15 most recent publications (2000–2024) highlight expertise in transition metal chemistry, ligand design, crystallography, and environmental applications. Key collaborations include work with Dr Jonathon Hull.
