Annabel Sharman serves as a Senior Lecturer Practitioner at the School of Education within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), Peterborough campus. She concurrently holds the position of Leadership Academy Pastor at Kingsgate Community Church.
Her academic credentials include:

- Certified Life Coach, The Coaching Academy
- National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL), UCL Centre for Educational Leadership
Her research centers on Teacher Wellbeing and Coaching in Education, with emphasis on integrating coaching frameworks into school environments to foster professional growth. She has pioneered coaching programs connecting educators with international coaches to address burnout and enhance instructional practices through personalized development pathways.
Her 2022 webinar for the Chartered College of Teaching examines systemic approaches to reforming professional development, highlighting interdisciplinary connections between educational psychology, leadership training, and curriculum design within primary education contexts.
With extensive mentoring experience as an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Mentor, Induction Tutor, and Early Career Teacher (ECT) Mentor at the University of Cambridge Primary School, she has shaped teacher development programs while leading the Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics curriculum.
She established a school-wide coaching initiative that operationalized wellbeing strategies through global coach partnerships, creating sustainable frameworks for educator support beyond conventional institutional boundaries.
