Veronica Burke

Veronica Burke is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management within the Faculty of Business and Law at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), based in Cambridge. She brings extensive experience from higher education and executive consultancy, with prior roles at Cranfield University School of Management and the University of Cambridge. Her work bridges academic teaching, leadership development, and applied performance psychology.

Her interdisciplinary approach integrates insights from sport psychology, executive coaching, and business management to foster sustainable high performance in individuals and teams.

Her recent publications, spanning from 2010 to 2019, reflect a consistent focus on enhancing team dynamics, managing workplace conflict constructively, promoting employee wellbeing, and applying performance psychology in both corporate and elite sport contexts. These works appear in academic handbooks, peer-reviewed journals like Sports Medicine, and professional platforms such as HRZone and Cranfield School of Management blogs.

Veronica has led significant knowledge exchange initiatives and executive development programmes for organizations including Tesco Plc, The Natural History Museum, The Forestry Commission, The Teenage Cancer Trust, and Luxury Family Hotels. She has delivered keynote presentations and workshops on leadership, talent development, and personal resilience. At ARU, she leads the development of the new Business portfolio at ARU Peterborough, covering Business Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and HRM. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Business Leadership, Organisational Behaviour, and Human Resource Management, and has extensive experience in doctoral and master’s supervision.

She is the founder of Performance Impact, an executive development consultancy that partners with organizations to deliver tailored leadership programmes, 1-to-1 coaching, and strategy design days focused on personal development as a foundation for business excellence.
