Anna Westin

Anna Westin is an Honorary Visiting Fellow and Visiting Lecturer at St. Mary’s University, London, Canterbury Christ Church University, and Azusa Pacific University. She holds a PhD in the philosophy of addiction, focusing on existential and phenomenological approaches influenced by Levinas and Kierkegaard. Her work bridges academic research with creative activism, particularly in addressing human trafficking through artistic expression and community engagement.

As Director of The JAM Network UK, she leads initiatives linking cultural and institutional efforts to combat modern slavery. This includes producing stage-based works, collaborating with NGOs, and fostering survivor-centered advocacy. Her research emphasizes ethical discourse in healthcare and human rights, leveraging creativity to amplify marginalized voices while promoting healing and reconciliation.
