Anna Ugalde is an Associate Professor at Deakin University’s Faculty of Health and a Victorian Cancer Agency Fellow. She leads the ECORRA Program (Equitable Cancer Outcomes across Rural and Remote Australia), focusing on reducing rural cancer inequities through implementation science, behavioral science, supportive care, digital health, and health services research. Her work includes a Medical Research Future Fund grant to embed best practice cancer care in rural health services.
Her research explores co-design methods, digital health interventions, and nutrition models for cancer patients. She collaborates with government, health services, and consumers to drive real-world health impact. She leads a team of early- and mid-career researchers and has received funding from MRFF, NHMRC, and the Victorian Department of Health.
