Anna Turner is a freshwater ecologist and Researcher at Charles Sturt University's College of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences, based in Albury, NSW. She leads the Murrumbidgee FlowMER program, focusing on monitoring environmental water impacts on wetlands, amphibians, and aquatic ecosystems. Holding a PhD in Environmental Science (2022) and a Bachelor of Animal Science (2013), her work emphasizes amphibian conservation, wetland ecology, and disease dynamics. She has published extensively on chytrid fungus in frogs and contributed to the University Medal for academic excellence.
Her research spans field surveys, population modeling, and stakeholder collaboration to optimize water management strategies. Key outputs include the Murrumbidgee Monitoring Program newsletters, impactful peer-reviewed articles, and adaptive management plans. Turner actively engages in public outreach, community workshops, and interdisciplinary projects to bridge science and policy.
