Andrew Hall is a Senior Principal Research Fellow in Geospatial Science at Charles Sturt University, affiliated with the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences and the Gulbali Research Institute. He is based in Albury/Wodonga and plays a leading role in environmental water research, particularly within the Murrumbidgee River system. He is also the academic lead for CSU in the One Basin CRC, fostering major collaborative research initiatives.

Andrew Hall's research focuses on applying geospatial science to environmental challenges. His primary interests include remote sensing image analysis, climatology and hydrology, landscape phenology, and climate change modeling. He is internationally recognized for pioneering high-resolution vegetation remote sensing and studying plant phenology responses to climate variability. His work supports ecological water management and biodiversity conservation in regulated river systems.
The recent publications reflect a strong trend in environmental water management, particularly in the Murrumbidgee Basin. Themes include assessing biodiversity, monitoring vegetation (e.g., lignum) via drones, evaluating environmental watering impacts on amphibians, and long-term monitoring of river systems. His work combines geospatial analysis, field data, and modeling to inform policy and ecological outcomes.
