Dr. Anna Topakas is a Senior Lecturer in Work Psychology and School Lead for Postgraduate Research (PGR) at the University of Sheffield's Management School, where she has been faculty since 2012. She leads research within the Institute of Work Psychology (IWP) research centre and supervises doctoral researchers in organizational behavior topics.
Her research focuses on organisational leadership, workplace relationships, and employee wellbeing, with specific expertise in leadership-follower dynamics, team resilience, and mental health interventions. Current projects examine manager training in mental health awareness, workplace loneliness, and identity dynamics in leadership. Her work spans healthcare (NHS), policing (South Yorkshire Police), and charitable sectors, funded by BA/Leverhulme and Wellcome Trust.
