Anna Sjödin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Food, Nutrition and Culinary Science, Umeå University. Her research focuses on the physiological and metabolic impacts of low-carbohydrate/high-fat (LCHF) diets, particularly ketogenic diets, in healthy individuals and their translational implications for human health.
Her work includes a randomized controlled trial on ketogenic diets' effects on body composition and muscle fatigue (2024, 2020), studies on LDL cholesterol responses (2021, 2020), and collaborations on animal models of LCHF-induced cardiac dysfunction (2016, 2015). She has also contributed to secretoglobin biology research across multiple organ systems (2006, 2004, 2003, 2001).
Current projects include long-term investigations into ketogenic diet effects (2015-2022) and dietary intake measurement techniques. She can be contacted at anna.sjodin@umu.se.
