Anna Roblas Pujol is a dancer, teacher, creator, and researcher in dance and movement, serving as a Lecturer at the Institut del Teatre's Superior Conservatory of Dance (CSD) in Barcelona since 1990. She teaches Choreography and Performance Techniques as well as Dance Pedagogy across both the Superior and Professional Dance Conservatories while simultaneously engaging in performance, choreography, and institutional management roles.
Her academic credentials include:
- Master's degree in education research specialising in art, body and movement from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB)
- Somatic Movement Educator (SME) certification from the School of Body Mind Centering®
- Higher Degree in Choreography and Performance Techniques from the Institut del Teatre
- Degree in Classical Dance from the Royal Conservatory of Madrid (pre-LOGSE)
- Diploma in Classical Dance Pedagogy from the Royal Academy of Dancing
Her research investigates collaborative learning processes where participants develop creative, interpretative, and pedagogical capacities through shared knowledge creation. Since 2007, she has pursued a serial exploration of 'dances of death,' bodily transformations under extreme stress, and automobile collisions as metaphysical thresholds, recently focusing on physiological processes and their movement expression.
Professionally, she collaborates with major Catalan companies including Cia. Sol Picó, l'Anonima Imperial, Teatre Lliure, and Gran Teatre del Liceu while developing socio-educational projects for populations with functional diversity. Her institutional work at the Institut del Teatre spans teaching, management, and coordination responsibilities across three decades.
