Anna Rajala is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Unit of Social Research, affiliated with the Tampere Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation Studies at Tampere University. Her work spans political economy, critical theory, and social sciences, often intersecting with health care and gender studies. She obtained her PhD from the University of Brighton (2021) and an MA from University College London (2013).
Her research outputs focus on retheorizing capitalism through experimental frameworks, including a 2025 edited volume and chapters exploring scatological metaphors, postcapitalist narratives, and engaged pluralism. She received the Vuoden tiedekynä 2025 award for her contributions.
Rajala actively participates in collaborative projects such as Chronic Caring, examining societal structures and care practices. Her work integrates interdisciplinary methodologies, challenging conventional economic and political paradigms while addressing themes like bodily autonomy and social justice.
