Anna Ord is the Dean of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences (CHBS) and an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology & Counseling at Regent University. She chairs the Department of Graduate Psychology and directs the Master of Science Program in Psychology. Her professional journey spans academia, clinical practice, and business administration.
- Education: Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (Regent University), M.A. Clinical Psychology (Regent), M.A. Professional Counseling (Liberty University), MBA (Miami University), B.B.A. (Academy of National Economy, Moscow).
Her research focuses on neuropsychological functioning, modifiable lifestyle factors (sleep, nutrition, exercise), and their impact on health outcomes. Clinically, she specializes in treating neurological conditions such as dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis, with an emphasis on diverse and underserved populations. She teaches courses in neurobiology, psychological assessment, and research methods.
Dr. Ord’s career transition from business to psychology began with volunteer work in recovery programs and eating disorder facilities. Her clinical experience includes roles at university counseling centers, VA medical centers, and neuropsychology clinics. She balances academic leadership with a commitment to spiritual growth and community engagement.
She holds a post-doctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology (Hampton Roads Neuropsychology) and an advanced fellowship in mental illness research at the W.G. Hefner VA Healthcare System/Wake Forest School of Medicine.
