Anna Nilsson is an Associate Professor and Associate Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law, Faculty of Law at Lund University. Her research focuses on discrimination in psychiatric care, supported decision-making, proportionality in international law, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Prior to academia, she worked at the Swedish Equality Ombudsman and the Council of Europe's Commissioner for Human Rights. She teaches International Human Rights Law II and collaborates with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute on human rights education. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to human rights and disability inclusion.
Key areas of expertise include Health Law, Human Rights Law, and Public International Law. She has received awards such as the Emil Heijnes Stiftelse and Oscar II stipendium.
Anna is involved in interdisciplinary projects like 'Fair and Square: Algorithmic Discrimination in Healthcare' and 'Lund Human Rights Research Hub.' She actively participates in conferences and public lectures on human rights and legal ethics.
