Anna Madeleine Raupach

Dr. Anna Madeleine Raupach is a Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University's School of Art & Design and a 2024 Fulbright Scholar at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Her work bridges interdisciplinary art practices with emerging technologies, focusing on themes like communication platforms, environmental data visualization, and critical plant theory. She holds a BVA (Hons) from ANU and a PhD in Media Arts from UNSW (2014).

Her research spans experimental drawing, mixed reality installations, and interactive technologies, often informed by global residencies including the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris) and the Common Room Network Foundation (Bandung).

Key projects include The Forecast Factory (exploring weather systems and digital networks) and Light Echoes (honoring women’s contributions to astronomical data). Awards include the 2024 Fulbright Scholarship.

Research supervision focuses on practice-led projects at ANU. She led the Botanic Gardens Herbarium project (2021-2022), investigating environmental aesthetics through artistic collaborations.
