Prudence Ann Gibson

Dr. Prudence Ann Gibson is a Professor in UNSW Art & Design, specializing in Critical Plant Studies and Environmental Aesthetics. She leads the ARC Linkage grant exploring the cultural value of Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens Herbarium. Her research integrates art, ecology, and activism, with key works including The Plant Thieves (2023) and Dark Botany (2024). She collaborates globally with institutions like Kew Gardens and Queen Mary University London.
