Anna Lindhé is an Associate Professor at the Department of Languages, Literature and Culture at Østfold University College. With a PhD from Lund University and postdoctoral experience at Umeå University, she has held visiting positions at Duke University and Oxford University.

Her recent work explores the "paradox of narrative empathy" in modernist and realist literature, focusing on ethical tensions in texts like Virginia Woolf's Mrs Dalloway and Tan Twan Eng's The Garden of Evening Mists. She investigates literature's role in fostering democratic competence, intercultural understanding, and ethical navigation of discomfort.
