Drew Shannon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts at Mount St. Joseph University, specializing in British literature from Shakespeare to the present. His teaching and research are deeply rooted in modernist and 20th-century literary traditions.

Dr. Shannon's research centers on British Literary Modernism, with groundbreaking work in Virginia Woolf Studies extending to authors like Doris Lessing and Margaret Atwood. His scholarship examines intersections of private writings and public reception, particularly in marital narratives. Current projects include expanding his doctoral dissertation into the book The Deep Old Desk: A Biography of the Diary of Virginia Woolf, exploring Woolf's diaries as literary artifacts.
He serves as Historian/Bibliographer of the International Virginia Woolf Society and on the editorial board of Woolf Studies Annual. As Faculty Advisor for the Mount Drama Club, he directs theatrical productions including Doubt: A Parable and Six Degrees of Separation, bridging literary scholarship with performance arts.
