Anna Leventhal is an Instructor in English at the University of Winnipeg, specializing in creative writing and literary analysis. An award-winning author, she served as Writer-in-Residence at Winnipeg Public Library (2021-2022).
She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from University of British Columbia and an MA in Communication Studies from McGill University. Her research explores narrative structures in contemporary fiction and nonfiction, with creative works examining identity, memory, and social relationships.
Publications include the short story collection Sweet Affliction (Invisible Publishing, 2014) and numerous works in literary journals including Maisonneuve, Geist, and The Puritan. Her writing has been anthologized in collections such as The Journey Prize Stories 20 and Minority Reports: New English Writing from Quebec.
