Dr. Anna Laskai is an Assistant Professor at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology, Utrecht University. She holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Szeged, an MA in Criminology from Eötvös Loránd University, and an LL.M. in Forensics, Criminology and Law (Cum Laude) from Maastricht University. Her research focuses on healthcare-related crimes, institutional corruption, and the intersection of corporate interests with medical ethics.

Anna's research explores institutional corruption, particularly in pharmaceutical industry-medicine relationships, and the criminal justice implications of health-related conspiracy theories. Her recent work examines pandemic nonconformities and the propagation of misinformation in digital spaces.
Her publications span institutional corruption, corporate crime, and pandemic-era social dynamics. Current projects extend to analyzing regulatory frameworks for combating healthcare fraud and understanding the societal impact of conspiracy theories.
