Anna Katharina Mangold

Anna Katharina Mangold is a Professor at the Universität Flensburg, holding positions in the Interdisciplinary Institute for Environmental, Social, and Human Sciences and the International Institute for Management and Economic Education. She serves as Head of the Department of European Law. Her research focuses on antidiscrimination law, constitutional law, gender studies, and EU law, with a particular emphasis on legal frameworks for gender self-determination, social inclusion, and crisis management. She has authored over 50 scholarly works, including articles on legal responses to the pandemic, EU solidarity mechanisms, and the intersection of law and societal equity. Her recent work highlights transformative legal approaches to gender identity, democratic inclusion, and systemic discrimination.
