Anna Januchta-Szostak

Prof. Anna Januchta-Szostak is a full professor at Poznań University of Technology's Faculty of Architecture, where she leads research in the Institute of Architecture and Spatial Planning. Her work centers on sustainable urban development with specializations in:

• Urban water management and flood risk mitigation
• Climate change adaptation strategies
• Blue-green infrastructure implementation
• Riverfront urban revitalization
• Aging-friendly urban design

She coordinates significant research projects including 'Integrated landscape development in the face of 21st-century challenges' (2023-2024) and 'Adaptation to climate change in architecture' (2022). As co-founder of the Water Round Table initiative, she develops national policy frameworks for water crisis management and flood control.

Her supervision includes two completed doctoral dissertations focused on urban public spaces and cultural development projects. She maintains active collaborations with research foundations including the Sendzimir Foundation and Foundation for Public Administration and Economy.
