Dr. Anna E. Mudde serves as Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Regina, currently on sabbatical until January 2026. Her academic foundation includes a BA Hons from the University of Toronto (2002), MA from Memorial University (2004), and PhD from York University (2011).
Her research program critically examines intersections of materiality, epistemology, and social ontology through multiple lenses:
- Philosophy of craft and technology
- Feminist epistemologies of responsible knowing
- Critical philosophies of race and disability
- Simone de Beauvoir's phenomenological frameworks
- New materialism(s) and social ontologies
Dr. Mudde's scholarly impact is evidenced by sustained research funding and interdisciplinary publications. Her awards include:
- SSHRC Insight Development Grant (2012-2014) for 'Living Experiments: Technology, Metaphor, and Human Life'
- University of Regina Tri-Council Research Fund
- Campion College President’s Research Award Fund
Her supervision approach integrates theoretical rigor with practical epistemic concerns, particularly regarding objectivity and situated knowledge. While currently on sabbatical, her active grant portfolio and publication record indicate strong mentorship capacity for graduate students upon return, with particular relevance for those exploring philosophy of technology, feminist theory, or phenomenological methodologies.
