Miranda Fricker is a Professor of Philosophy at New York University (NYU), serving as Co-Director of the New York Institute for Philosophy. Previously, she held positions at The Graduate Center CUNY (Distinguished Professor) and the University of Sheffield (Honorary Professorship). Her research focuses on Moral Philosophy, Social Epistemology, and Feminist Philosophy, emphasizing the intersection of epistemic virtues, power dynamics, and ethical responsibility. She is renowned for her seminal work Epistemic Injustice: Power and the Ethics of Knowing (2007), which explores how social structures perpetuate epistemic harm.
