Dr. Anna Duwenig is a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Her research focuses on operator algebras, groupoid theory, and C*-algebras, with numerous publications in top mathematical journals spanning from 2018 to 2025.
Dr. Duwenig completed her PhD around 2020, as evidenced by her dissertation on Non-commutative Poincaré duality of the irrational rotation algebra. Her academic journey shows steady progression from foundational work on elliptic operators to advanced research on groupoid C*-algebras and Fell bundles.
Dr. Duwenig's research primarily centers on operator algebras, with particular emphasis on C*-algebras associated with groupoids, Fell bundles, and Zappa-Szép products. Her work explores structural properties of these algebras, Cartan subalgebras, imprimitivity theorems, and connections to dynamical systems. Through rigorous mathematical analysis, she contributes to advancing our understanding of noncommutative geometry and its applications to theoretical physics and topology.
