Anna Cetnarowska is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Southern Denmark, affiliated with Susanne Mandrup’s research group within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She is part of the Enhpathy consortium under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA-ITN-ETN) European Training Network, focusing on understanding enhanceropathies in human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs). Her research combines experimental and computational approaches to study transcriptional regulation in autoimmune diseases and 3D genome topology during cell lineage determination.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Molecular Biotechnology, Jagiellonian University, Poland (2020)
- Visiting Student Researcher via the Fulbright Program at the University of Virginia
Research Interests: Anna’s work examines the role of the BACH2 transcription factor in autoimmune diseases and investigates how 3D chromatin organization influences lineage commitment in stem cells. Her projects integrate genomic technologies and computational modeling to dissect molecular mechanisms underlying developmental and pathological processes.
Professional Background:
- PhD Candidate (2020–): Enhpathy consortium project on 3D topology in hMSC lineage determination
- Postdoc affiliation with Susanne Mandrup Lab since October 2020
Funding: Supported by the MSCA-ITN-ETN program for her doctoral training.
Labs & Teams: Active member of the Susanne Mandrup Lab and the Enhpathy consortium network, collaborating across disciplines to advance functional genomics and metabolism research.
