Dr. Anna Braun-Beneke is a full-time Lecturer in Literary Studies and Literary Didactics at the Institute of German Studies, Department 2, University of Koblenz. She has been a Research Assistant at the Institute since October 2017 and is currently a project participant in the interdisciplinary AI initiative IH-evrsKI, focusing on AI in Language, Literature, and Media. Her academic work bridges German literature, identity concepts, and memory studies.
Education
- Master's degree (2015) from University of Koblenz-Landau, Koblenz Campus, with a thesis on WG Sebald's Austerlitz as a novel of remembrance.
- Doctorate (2022) on concepts of identity in Michael Ende's work.
Research Focus
Her research explores intersections of literary studies, didactic methodologies, and interdisciplinary applications of AI in cultural contexts. She specializes in German literature with a focus on memory theory and identity construction in postmodern texts.
Teaching and Projects
Since 2017, she has contributed to academic programs at the Institute of German Studies. From April 2024, she participates in the University of Koblenz's AI project, integrating computational methods with literary analysis.
