Anna Bonnell Freidin is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Michigan. She is a core faculty member in the Interdepartmental Program in Ancient History and affiliated with Classical Studies, the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, and the Science, Technology, and Society Program, where she serves as director of graduate studies.

Her research and teaching focus on Roman cultural and social history, gender and sexuality, medicine and magic, and Roman food cultures. She also explores Roman imperialism and the intersection of science, technology, and medicine in antiquity.
