معرفی
Dr. Anna Biernacka is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Chicago. She is a board-certified anatomic pathologist and cytopathologist specializing in breast pathology, and actively participates in the Multidisciplinary Breast Program providing integrated care for breast cancer patients. Her research focuses on morphologic and molecular characterization of breast diseases, with particular emphasis on apocrine lesions and androgen receptor signaling pathways in cancer progression.
Education and Training:
- MD, Medical University of Lodz, Poland (2006)
- PhD, Medical University of Lodz, Poland (2012)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship, Albert Einstein College of Medicine (2012)
- Residency in Anatomic Pathology, Baylor College of Medicine (2015)
- Fellowship in Cytopathology, Dartmouth-Hitchcock (2016)
- Fellowship in Breast Pathology, Massachusetts General Hospital (2017)
Her research spans molecular oncology, DNA repair mechanisms, and tumor microenvironment interactions. Recent work explores glucocorticoid receptor expression in triple-negative breast cancer, molecular characterization of rare lung tumors, and advanced techniques for DNA damage detection. She maintains active collaborations in translational research with focus on diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Publications demonstrate expertise across oncology, molecular pathology, and cytopathology, with recent emphasis on DNA repair mechanisms, tumor immunology, and molecular characterization of rare neoplasms. Research consistently integrates clinical pathology with molecular diagnostics.
