Ronald Balassanian

Dr. Ronald Balassanian is a Clinical Professor and pathologist at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), specializing in minimally invasive diagnosis via Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) biopsy. He leads the FNA Biopsy Clinic at the Bakar Precision Cancer Medicine Building, focusing on molecular diagnostics and breast cancer pathology. His research includes the I-SPY2 trial for personalized breast cancer treatments and the Athena Breast Health Network's large-scale patient data initiative. He also spearheads the 'Ask Your Pathologist' project to enhance patient-pathologist communication.
